Wishbone Moon: An International Anthology of Haiku by Women

by Dave Russo

Roberta Beary, Ellen Compton, and Kala Ramesh are well-known poets and editors in the international haiku community. Their new anthology, Wishbone Moon, is a selection of haiku by over 100 women from 21 countries—including North Carolina poets L. Teresa Church, Kate MacQueen, and Crystal Simone Smith.

Jacar Press is sponsoring a reading of Wishbone Moon at the Southwest Regional Library, 3605 Shannon Road, Durham, North Carolina 27707, on Saturday, November 24, from 1:00 to 3:00.

The poems in Wishbone Moon appear in groups of three on a page. Each page is a triptych of brief scenes that play off each other.
