Nick Virgilio was one of the first poets to become internationally known for haiku written in English. He was also a beloved character in his hometown of Camden, New Jersey, as the film “Remembering Nick Virgilio” clearly shows.
The 27-minute version of the film by Sean Dougherty was the feature presentation of the HaikuLife Haiku Film Festival for 2015, celebrated on International Haiku Poetry Day 2015, an initiative of The Haiku Foundation.
